Community News Recent Turns of the Wheel (See Past Turns of the Wheel for older events we enjoyed!) Turning the Tide festival was hosted by EMLC last December 7-9, 2007. It was wonderful to camp together, meet new friends, learn from our workshop presenters and enjoy the drumming and rituals. Psychic House Party - EMLC hosted a second Psychic House Party on June 15, 2007, as a fundrasier, which a big success! We had 13 guests and 9 readers or service providers for their insight and comfort. MerryMeet 2006! - EMLC hosted MerryMeet 2006, the annual meeting and gathering for the Covenant of the Goddess, along with the annual Leadership Institute at the Bahia Mar on Fort Lauderdale beach, Florida. It was a huge success, and we received many compliments about how well it was run, the positive tenor set by our local council volunteers, and the Bahia Mar as a location. it was a major accomplishment for our young local council to host the event, and Lady Bridget served as an exemplary Second Officer, main hostess and head troubleshooter! There was a robust vending area open to the public, a full workshop schedule, and special talks and rituals available during the evenings. It's hard to believe that it's over! Whew... Annual Meeting - EMLC's Annual Meeting will be held on October 7, 2006, at Dreher Park in West Palm Beach, FL. We will address Officer reports, election of a Local Council Board for the coming year and report on how MerryMeet 2006 went. Additional goal setting for the coming year is planned, as well as visiting with good friends and potential applicants for membership.
